This spine-only design is not common among Sacker designs, but replicates the spine design of the series of works by Alphonse Daudet, which in turn matches the SIGNED title-page design. The design apparently was used for a series of Sand's works, although I am not sure whether it is the same series of Sand's work as the one containing this Sacker title-page design.
